| Long time no post...seems like I don't even know Xanga anymore.
Always seems like we talk about the same type of things. How it feels
not being a student anymore..what it's like to work fulltime, how hard
life at work is...how fragile this world is...how immature some ppl are
when they scream and yell, or ignore when really they should just put
away their pride and settle differences so we can all laugh and enjoy
moments of life together.
*sigh* Why are there so many angry people who hate in this world?
On a brighter note: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Much love and blessings to you all!

| Ever drink from a fire hose? Second day of work and already 40+ emails, scheduled evening international conference calls close to back to back for the rest of the week, and meetings that squeeze into any open slot. Have I forgotten to mention this is on top of full day trainings from 830-500pm? Whatever happened to ramp up period? With my luck, it's replaced with "thrown in the fire".
Oh the joys of working for the most well known company in the world, and joining the even more fast paced interal audit team for my first 6-month rotation. Yes, we are great at what we do and I contribute to that productivity. Hard to believe this is what I signed up for....call me what you will, but I wouldn't have it any other way. After all, who gets to drink from a fire hose everyday anyway?
So, pictures from europe and bday will have to wait....at least until I get my camera back from K! Hope everyone is loving there job just as much as mine! *yah*

| Italia! Italia! Italia!Italia! Italia! So happy that the team I was rootin' for won! That's how the italian fans chant while the go buck wild soaring down the streets waving the italian flag. What a pity that I wasn't in Italy when they won because for certain I would have gone CRAZY, prob. jump up and down chanting, hugging other fans, running down the streets waving the flag etc....I was in Madrid instead, and it seemed like everyone was a French fan. No celebrating on the streets like when other european teams won in other countries. ______________________________________________________________
On another note, I'm home. Since we decided not to get a hotel the night before my flight home, i slept in a London airport. At least I tried to tough it out like everyone else and sleep on the floor, but that didn't turn out too well, so I ended up not sleeping at all. The first leg of my flight was brutal--11 hours in the air. But it was more than made up for when I was able to get onto an earlier flight home and cut my layover by 4 hours.
Still adjusting to time difference and all--i know it 'cuz i'm really out of it and get really tired and cranky at really odd times. Hopefully i'll be able to get back into the swing of things soon. That means something of a better recap than what's below will be in order soon, with photos of course. Right now this is the best i can provide.
Anyway, things I've really missed after one month: -hanging out with my mom and bro -my dad's "home cooked" chinese food -not eating every meal at a restaurant -my own bed, pillow, and blankets -fresh smell of clean dryer dried laundry -cool comfortable weather ______________________________________________________________
Wow...nana turns 22 tomorrow. Although I can't avoid it, I know i'll miss being 21...it was really a great year with many accomplishments and impacting memories. I suppose it hasn't quite hit me yet that 2006 is more than half over, i've just spent a month in europe and come home, that I've graduated from college, that there is no more school to attend, and that I'll be starting work in a week. Yikes....still waiting for it all to really kick in.
Sound to describe current mood: *plop*

| Currently in Amsterdam @ a very nice hostel. Will be leaving early tomorrow morning for Brussels, Belgium to stay in my first bed & breakfast.
Places visited: 2 days and nights in London, UK 1 day and night in Tilburg, Netherlands 2 days and nights in Amsterdam, Netherlands
World cup matches watched and cheered for: England vs. Trinidad and Tobago Netherlands vs. Ivory Coast
Next up: Belgium waffles, praline chocolates, Grand Place in Brussels (one day and night) Onwards to a week spent in Paris--> two hour 7 course lunches, many bonjours, my lovely friend whom i met four years ago, shopping, all the paris sights, and of course WINE
Not all things have been good--some not so great things always happen, but nana is strong, so I will not let them ruin my month.
Oh, by the way, I received my auditing work assignment. As expected and hoped for, I will be in redmond for the month of August, so don't fret...nana will be back in town in three weeks.
I you all. Hope everyone is having a great summer so far!
